Choosing the Right Airless Hose

Getting the right hose setup is essential to ensure consistent spray pressure and optimal performance. Hose diameter and length both play a key role:

• Wider hoses help maintain pressure over longer distances.
• Narrower or longer hoses can reduce pressure at the gun, which may affect spray quality.

To get the most out of your setup when joining hoses:

• Start with the larger diameter hose at the sprayer, and
• Connect a smaller hose near the gun inlet to maintain flow.
• Finish with a whip hose to give you added flexibility while spraying.

Hose Diameter Guide

3/16″ (4.8 mm) Airless Hose
Great for pressure rolling or lower-pressure interior work where flexibility is key.

1/4″ (6.4 mm) Airless Hose
The most popular all-rounder. Suitable for most airless applications.

3/8″ (9.5 mm) Airless Hose
Ideal for longer hose runs or thicker coatings. Minimises pressure loss and delivers strong, consistent performance at the gun.
